BEYOND
THE CLASSROOM WINDOW
ACTION ACTIVITY: Aerodynamics: Flight
Research
indicates that the bond that exists
between the student
and the teacher is directly proportional to the students’ willingness to absorb
information presented. Understanding this
concept, the learning strategy called “Beyond The
Classroom Window” utilizes action activities
designed to promote, enhance or reinforce this bond. Proper preparation and application of this
strategy creates an atmosphere of “family.” Discipline problems are replaced with a
desire for learning adventure.

Equipment required for this activity:
- No special equipment is necessary for this adventure. We
recommend you combine this trip with your parents. Allow them the opportunity to participate
jointly with their children
Special Note: If
you are interested in this activity, I recommend you contact Ed and tell him
you desire the program he put together for Dr. Louis Obernuefemann. This will allow each students the “hands-on”
experience of actual flight. Students
will take off, climb, dive, bank and then line up for landing. Do not worry… the instructor performs the
actual landing. I have done this
activity with Ed since 1986 and the results have always been fantastic!
